2016-06-02 — The muscle proprioceptive coding of movements in humans: its adaptation to the attentional and/or emotional context – A microneurographic approach
Summary Our muscles are motor organs, but they are also sensory organs; they are equipped with sensory receptors, the muscle spindles that encode the muscle length variations and inform the central nervous system about our postures and movements. During this talk, I will present unitary recordings of muscle spindles in humans, obtained by means of the microneurographic method, showing that movement responses (1) are adapted to the attentional context, (2) varies with our emotional state.
